Release of Service Pack 2 (SP2) for Quantitative Analysis rev. B.04.00

A new Service Pack, SP2 aka "Pharma SP", is available that has new features 
and fixes defects in Quantitative Analysis rev. B.04.00.

Parts Required: 

G3336-60046	MassHunter Quant SW Disk B.04.00 SP2

G3336-60046 (which includes both Quantitative Analysis rev. B.04.00 and 
Service Pack 2, the Pharma Service Pack) will be available in Agilent 
SubscribeNet in October 2010.

The Service Pack is available for Agilent support personnel on the apgsup 
server under:

The Service Pack will also be available on the Agilent.com technical support 
website in October 2010 under:

Situation: 
A Service Pack is available to add features and fix defects in MassHunter 
Quantitative Analysis rev. B.04.00. This is Service Pack 2 (SP2). The new 
features are:

Sample Information:
PHM 20	LC/QQQ Acquisition sample information defined and read into Quant 

Group Navigation:
PHM 21	Simpler SampleGroup and CompoundGroup linked next navigation in Batch-
at-a-Glance

Integration Parameters Modified:
INT 31	Integrator provides manual integration parameters on a per sample/compound basis

Triggered MRM:
PHM 24	MRM triggered MRM data files are readable
PHM 25	MRM triggered MRM transitions are not considered valid 
targets/qualifiers using the automation tools (e.g., New Method from Acquired 
MRM Data)

The defect fixes are:

142744	Quant Audit Trail not reporting or incorrectly reporting three commands

140076	Calibration point which appears above the regression line calculates 
out to a low value

142979	Crash in Quant B242.0 when applying method to batch

142983	Unable to 'Append Method from Acquired Scan Data with Library Search'

143315	Universal integrator parameters cannot be changed when 
using "Integration Parameters" feature

143271	Non-zero concentration calculated for a sample where ‘Zero Peak’ was 
performed after re-analysis

141796	Change in EIC's Exp RT in Quant method makes significant change to 
chromatogram

Solution/Action: 
This Service Pack must only be applied to the Quantitative Analysis rev. 
B.04.00 software. The version is displayed in the Help-->About splashscreen. 
It will state "Version B.04.00 / Build 4.0.225.0" or "225.2" (if SP1 is 
installed).  The Service Pack 2 is cumulative; it contains all the fixes in 
Service Pack 1.

Please note that installing this Service Pack will replace the file C:\Program
Files\Agilent\MassHunter\Workstation\Quant\bin\QuantAnalysis.exe.config. If any
customizations have been made to this file (e.g. digits after the decimal 
point in columns in the Batch Table) the original file should be backed up 
before installing the Service Pack, then the customizations should be made to 
the new file.

Installation

1) Shut down MassHunter Quantitative Analysis.

2) Browse to the directory, CD, or USB drive where the Service Pack file is 
located.

3) Find and double-click on the file named Quantitative Analysis B.04.00 SP 
02.exe

When the file is double-clicked, a window will appear with information 
regarding the installation of the Service Pack "Pharma SP". Follow the 
instructions on the screen.

4) A command window will open to apply the Service Pack. DO NOT CLOSE THIS 
WINDOW.  The Service Pack may take up to five minutes to complete the 
installation process. Once the installation process is complete, window will 
appear saying the Service Pack has been installed.  Click the Finish button.
If the system has previously been qualified, the Service Pack installation 
will run an Installation Qualification Test (IQT). At the end of the test, a 
dialog named "iqtwizard" will state "IQ Completed". When you click OK, the 
dialog will open the default browser with the Installation Qualification 
Report. Print this report out and place it with any qualification materials 
that you save.

5) Start up MassHunter Quantitative Analysis and begin using it.
The new version is displayed in the Help-->About splashscreen. It will 
state "Version B.04.00 / Build 4.0.225.19"
